Ruiki Masuda’s Signature Series Stratos is a hybrid all-mountain board built for creative freeriding. Its tapered freeride shape and energetic board feel make the Stratos incredibly versatile and agile in powder and mixed conditions. Featuring an ash wood veneer topsheet that enhances stability by absorbing chatter, Ruiki’s Stratos glides across all terrain and thrives in deep snow.
Artwork by Toshikazu Nozaka depicts a scene of Ruiki’s home, between the mountain and the sea, with the symbolic “kaeru” (frog) in the center.
As Ruiki explains:
“I was born in an area where it never snows. I love both the sea and the mountains, so this is a story from the base of the sea to the top of the mountain. This mountain is the highest in Japan, Mt. Fuji, my home mountain. A frog is called "kaeru" in Japanese, and "kaeru" also means "return." That's why a frog is a symbol of luck in Japan. For example, customers return to your business, or people return home safely.”
