Flat Pucks - Gold FAQ

Will these pucks work with my splitboard and bindings?

The Flat Pucks are compatible with all puck-compatible splitboard bindings and work with both 4x2 insert boards and channel boards. If your board and bindings are built for the puck system, they mount right on.

How much can I actually adjust my stance with these?

Quite a lot. The Flat Pucks give you toe/heel centering of +/- 1/4" in 1.3 mm increments, angular adjustment of +/- 30° in 3° increments, and stance width adjustable in 4.2 mm increments. That's near-infinite fine-tuning compared to standard inserts.

How fast is the transition from tour to ride mode?

Very fast. Your bindings slide on a soft nylon surface, so they glide on and off the pucks with minimal effort. The Snap Ramps lock the binding in ride position when flipped down and release it when flipped up, no tools needed.

Are these flat pucks the right choice, or should I go with the canted version?

The Flat Pucks sit at 0° canting, so they're the standard neutral platform. If you have no knee issues and prefer a flat stance, these work great. Riders with knee strain or those who want a more ergonomic stance typically prefer the Canted Pucks (3°), which are slightly heavier at 322g vs 289g per pair.

How strong and durable is the puck interface under hard use?

The center disc is oversize aluminum, machined to overlap the binding channels for maximum strength and rigidity. The sliding surface is soft nylon, abrasion-resistant and built to handle repeated tour-to-ride transitions across many seasons. The design is patented and is Spark R&D's best-selling splitboard accessory.
