Former Clothing
Former was founded in 2017 by Dane Reynolds, Craig Anderson and Austyn Gillette, and it's still independent, owned and run by riders. The idea was a place where surfers, skaters, artists and creatives feel they belong: they fund the films, sign and support the team riders, and design what they wear themselves. Reynolds says the surf and skate brands around them lacked creativity, so they set out to link art-driven products with a love of making films. They pay close attention to fabric, fits, details, colours and trims.
