Evasion Snowboard Boots 2027 FAQ
What kind of rider is this boot built for?
These are men's all-mountain and freeride boots with a medium-stiff flex (7/10). On the Evasion, that stiffness gives you solid edge control and support for harder landings on varied terrain, while still flexing naturally when you need finesse. They're aimed at riders who want to push beyond groomers and stay protected in mixed conditions.
What does this boot do to keep snow out?
The boot wraps your laces in a cover with a waterproof zipper that seals the whole lace zone. On the Evasion, when you're hiking between runs or riding in slushy conditions, that zipper stops snow from working its way down into your laces or creeping up the tongue side. Your foot stays dry longer, which means warmer toes and less moisture buildup inside.
How durable is this boot?
The heel counter uses injected urethane instead of thick padding, making it springy and lightweight. The outsole is premium rubber (Vibram compound) paired with a soft foam layer that dampens vibration. On the Evasion, that urethane heel rebounds after every landing and lasts far longer than traditional materials, while the outsole grip holds up season after season on concrete and rough terrain.
Will I get good ankle support in this boot?
Inside, there are structural bars reinforcing the ankle pocket, plus a heat-moldable foam liner with internal shaping that conforms to your foot. The cuff upper is designed to bend naturally forward while resisting side-to-side roll. On the Evasion, this combo locks your ankle in place without crushing it. You get responsive support that moves with you, especially important when you're linking turns or absorbing impact on variable terrain.
How does the lacing system work?
There's a traditional lace up the boot body, then a separate dial-lace system (using a BOA mechanism) that tightens the liner independently. On the Evasion, you dial in your heel hold without over-tightening your whole foot, so circulation stays good all day. The two-stage system lets you fine-tune fit on the fly as your foot swells or shifts during a long session.
