A directional shape and moderate tip-and-tail rocker keep the ski forgiving on groomers while staying eager on natural terrain. The lightweight Densolite Core holds its shape through every turn without taxing young legs. Built for kids aged 5–12 who are ready to explore the whole mountain, not just the beginner slopes.

Bent Jr Skis 2027 FAQ
How do I pick the right size range for my kid — the 110-130 or the 140-150?
Atomic targets the 110-130 range for kids aged 5-8 years, and the 140-150 for ages 8-12. Within each range, match length to height: a shorter ski is easier to control for beginners, a longer one adds stability as the child progresses. The 110-130 weighs 950 g at 120 cm, keeping it light for younger riders.
Do these come with bindings, or do I need to buy them separately?
Both size ranges are available as a set with Colt 7 GW bindings (system package) or as a ski-only option. If you buy ski-only, bindings must be purchased and mounted separately by a technician.
What kind of terrain are these designed for — just groomers, or can my kid take them off-piste?
The Bent JR has an All Mountain Rocker (15/75/10), meaning mostly camber underfoot for grip on groomers, with modest rocker at tip and tail for ease in variable snow. It's designed for all-mountain piste and natural terrain, not deep powder. Think groomed runs with occasional forays into softer off-piste.
Is the construction durable enough for a kid who skis hard and isn't gentle with gear?
The Bent JR uses a Dura Cap Sidewall, which combines a plastic cap construction with a reinforced dura zone for impact resistance. The Densolite Core insert lightens the ski without creating weak spots. It's built to handle the abuse of active junior skiing.
Are these too advanced for a beginner kid, or will they work for learning?
The Bent JR is an entry-level freeski for juniors, not a race or advanced carving ski. The All Mountain Rocker and soft flex (not rated numerically but appropriate for the age range) make turns easy to initiate. It works from beginners progressing through intermediate, not just for kids who already rip.
