Product Description
The Viper Pro is Rome's high-octane directional twin built for riders who want precision without sacrificing versatility. Fusion Camber delivers locked-in edge hold underfoot with catch-free forgiveness at the tips, while Carbon HotRods fire responsive snap from nose to tail. Directional Diamond 3D stiffens the nose for variable snow and the Directional Double Kick adds torsional rigidity in the tail for confident landings and full-throttle speeds across every terrain.
Product Details
| Rocker Type | Fusion Camber: camber underfoot for predictable response and edge hold, with rocker in the nose and tail for float and a more forgiving feel than full camber. |
| Flex | 8 / 10 (Playful to Precise axis) |
| Shape | Directional Twin with a centered stance location and 0 mm taper. Available in narrow (N) sizes for riders with smaller boot sizes. |
| Sidecut | Tri-Radial Sidecut: three-radius sidecut geometry that blends high-speed precision with forgiveness at slower speeds, adapting to your riding pace across terrain. |
| Laminates | Carbon HotRods: carbon-fiber longitudinal rods running the board's length, delivering powerful snap, responsive edge-to-edge transitions, and quick pop. |
| Shape Technology | Directional Diamond 3D: three-dimensional nose shaping that adds torsional stiffness and all-mountain agility to the nose, unlocking versatile performance in variable snow conditions. · Directional Double Kick: secondary kick geometry in the tail of the directional twin shape, boosting stability for deep landings and adding torsional rigidity for confidence at high speeds in variable conditions. |
| Base | SinterStrong Base: high-quality sintered base built for durability and speed, offering strong wax absorption and long-lasting performance across all snow conditions. |

Viper Pro Snowboard 2027 FAQ
Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?
The Viper Pro is built for aggressive all-mountain riders hitting variable terrain fast. It's a directional twin with a stiff flex (8 out of 10, leaning precise). On the Rome Viper Pro, that means intermediate to advanced riders who want confidence at speed, pop for jumps, and the ability to adapt from groomers to untracked snow without hesitation.
Should I get a twin or a directional board?
This is a directional twin with a wider, lifted 3D nose and a reinforced tail shape. On the Viper Pro, the asymmetry locks you in on descents and floats the nose in powder, while the secondary tail kick gives you stability and extra rigidity for hard-carving at speed. You lose easy switch riding, but gain serious all-terrain authority.
What does the sidecut radius change for my turns?
It uses a three-radius sidecut that blends tighter curves at lower speeds with longer, looser arcs at speed. On the Viper Pro, you get reactive carves in bumpy terrain and tight trees, but the longer radii keep the board stable and forgiving when you open it up on a wide traverse or icy slope.
Is this board good for powder?
The nose is wider and lifts earlier due to 3D directional shaping, and the profile has rocker in the nose to add float. Combined with a terrain rating of 7 for powder, the Viper Pro stays planted on the back foot in deep snow while the front stays light. The added torsional stiffness from the tail shaping keeps you straight without diving or wallowing.
What makes a base fast — extruded vs. sintered?
The Viper Pro has a high-quality sintered base that's porous and soaks up wax better than extruded. On the Rome Viper Pro, you get noticeable speed gains on cold, fast snow and less drag on variable conditions. It's more durable than extruded too, though it demands more frequent waxing to stay quick.
