Product Details
FASE Fast Entry System: ThirtyTwo's proprietary three-part fast-entry system. AutoBack: pressure-sensitive highback that automatically closes when the boot steps in and opens when the heel lifts, with no manual lever needed. FastStrap: extra-long ankle ladder that stays connected to the binding for one-handed ratcheting. Locked-In Toe Strap: pre-set once per season and stays in position. Still a full two-strap system (straps always required); speed comes from eliminating manual highback manipulation. Compatible with all snowboard boots, no special boot required.
Highback: Mid-soft flexing highback shaped to optimize tweakability and maintain direct board feel underfoot.
Baseplate: Molded Foundation Foam baseplate: a foam-insert construction that absorbs vibration and chatter for added dampening while preserving board feel and responsiveness.
Footbed: Nylon footbed engineered to slide smoothly for easy boot entry and grip laterally for a locked-in feel during riding.
Straps: Low profile ladder strap for a streamlined, low-bulk fit.
Ratchets: Aluminum ratchets with stainless steel hardware: lightweight construction with the durability to handle daily use and repeated ratcheting cycles.

Basin Fase Snowboard Bindings - Violet 2027 FAQ
Who is this binding made for?
The Basin Fase is built around a mid-soft flexing highback with a foundation foam baseplate that dampens vibration while keeping board feel alive. On the Basin Fase, that combination targets riders who want playful, comfortable riding on varied terrain without sacrificing how much they feel what the board is doing. It's engineered for comfy laps with maximum board connection.
How do I know if I have the right size?
ThirtyTwo Basin Fase bindings come in three sizes: S fits boots US 7 to 9, M fits 9.5 to 11, and L fits 11.5 and up. On the Basin Fase, size is determined by your boot size. Match your boot size to the chart, and the binding will secure your boot properly with the nylon footbed gripping side to side while the auto-closing highback locks everything in place once you step in.
Is this a versatile all-rounder or built for something specific?
The Basin Fase features a soft flex edge-to-edge and soft-to-medium flex side to side, designed for park, powder, and all-mountain terrain. On the Basin Fase, that balanced flex profile means you're not locked into one terrain or style. You can cruise the park, float in fresh snow, and carve all-mountain lines without the binding fighting against what you're trying to do.
What makes this binding durable?
The Basin Fase uses aluminum ratchets paired with stainless steel hardware, a molded foundation foam baseplate for structure, and a nylon footbed that slides smoothly. On the Basin Fase, these materials are built to handle regular abuse without degrading. The aluminum and stainless steel won't rust or crack easily, and the foam baseplate spreads impact across your entire foot, reducing stress on any single point.
Do I need to adjust anything before I ride, or does it come dialed?
The Basin Fase ships with a locked-in toe strap that you set once and it stays in position, plus the auto-closing highback and extra-long faststrap designed for one-handed ratcheting. On the Basin Fase, setup is minimal: strap in once for comfort, and the auto-back opens and closes as you step in and out. No highback lever to fiddle with on the mountain, and the faststrap lets you tighten or loosen with one hand while riding.
