Yes. The Dome Peace Icon Brain Bucket Mips is certified to CE EN 1077:2007 Class B (helmet for alpine skiers and snowboarders) and carries UKCA certification. That means it's built and tested specifically for on-mountain impact protection, not just a lifestyle shell adapted for snow.
What am I actually paying for with the Mips system versus a basic helmet?
The Dome Peace pairs an ABS outer shell with an EPS foam liner (Sandbox's Construction 2) plus the Mips Protection System, a layer designed to address rotational forces on angled impacts. Combined with the CE EN 1077 Class B rating, you get direct impact absorption and rotational protection in one helmet.
Is there an easy way to dial in the fit, or do I need extra padding?
The Dome Peace uses Sandbox's Back Dial Fit System, a rear adjustment wheel anchored on both sides of the shell. Turn the dial to tighten or loosen the fit band directly instead of swapping pads, so you can fine-tune it on the lift or mid-run without tools.
I have a smaller or narrower head shape, will this still fit properly?
The Dome Peace is offered in an Asia Fit version alongside the standard shape, in Small, Medium, Large, and XL. If a standard-fit helmet usually rides high or leaves gaps at your temples, the Asia Fit build is designed to sit closer for a more secure, even fit.
Does this helmet vent well, or will I overheat on warmer days?
It runs a patented vent system with three vents plus a removable, vented comfort liner. Together they let airflow move through the shell while the liner still cushions your head, so you get ventilation on warmer spring days without sacrificing padding.

Can I take the liner out to clean or dry it?
