Race Snowboards
Race boards do one thing: carve at speed, with the edge locked in from tip to tail on hard, groomed or icy snow. They’re very stiff and narrow, with a big sidecut radius for long, fast turns and a flat, squared-off tail. Many are ridden with hardboots. It’s a specialist tool, so it’s less at home in powder, the park or off-piste, and a freecarve board is the gentler version: shorter, less stiff and quicker to turn.
