The Jones Nomad with Universal Tail Clip is a versatile splitboard skin built for any brand of board. A POMOCA-made 70/30 mohair-nylon blend balances glide efficiency and grip across all conditions, from cold dry powder to wet spring snow. Glide Tech fiber coating, Grip Tech dynamic tension resistance, and Ever Dry 3.0 (bluesign® approved) anti-glopping treatment complete the package. Trim-to-fit, brand-agnostic, ready for the backcountry.

Will these skins fit a non-Jones splitboard?
Yes. Unlike the other Nomad versions, this skin is sized at 140 x 1450 mm and fits all splitboard brands, not just Jones. You trim to your board width using the included skin cutter, then install the tail clips with the included rivets. Brand-agnostic compatibility is the whole point of this version.
Do I need to install the tail clips myself?
Yes. The Universal Tail Clips are not pre-attached and require installation using the four rivets included in the package. A skin cutter is also included. Plan to do this at home before your first tour, not in the parking lot. The process is straightforward but takes a few minutes per clip.

The Nomad Universal package includes: one pair of skins, one pair of universal tail clips, four rivets, a skin cutter, two backing sheets, a skin bag, and a skin saver. Everything needed for full setup is in the box, no additional hardware required.
How does this compare to the Jones-specific Nomad Trim-to-Fit versions?
The Jones-specific Nomad Trim-to-Fit skins (S/M/L) come with tail clips pre-attached and are sized for Jones boards from 2016 onward, minimal setup. The Universal version works with any brand and requires you to install the clips with rivets yourself. Choose the Universal if you ride a non-Jones splitboard.
Will these skins glide well and grip reliably on the skin track?
Yes. The fiber blend is the same 70% mulesing-free mohair / 30% synthetic nylon as all Jones Nomad skins, made by POMOCA in Switzerland. Glide Tech reduces friction across snow temperatures, Ever Dry 3.0 prevents wet-snow glopping, and Grip Tech material resists twisting and abrasion under dynamic load on steeper lines.
