The Nomad Skins Trim-To-Fit Qt bring Swiss-made POMOCA quality to every Jones splitboard tour. A 70/30 mohair-nylon blend delivers the ideal ratio of glide efficiency to grip, while Glide Tech fiber coating blocks snow adhesion in cold and wet conditions alike. Ever Dry 3.0 (bluesign® approved) adds anti-glopping protection to keep the running surface clean. Three trim-to-fit sizes and an included Quick Tension Tail Clip suit all backcountry touring styles.

Nomad Skins Trim-To-Fit Qt Splitboard Skins FAQ
Will these skins fit my Jones splitboard?
Yes. The Nomad Trim-to-Fit skins come in sizes S, M, and L and fit all Jones splitboards from 2016 onward. You trim to your exact board width with scissors. They are designed for Jones boards: if you ride a different brand, look at the Nomad Universal (with Universal Tail Clip) instead.
What's the fiber blend, and why does it matter for touring?
The Nomad skins use a 70% mulesing-free natural mohair / 30% synthetic nylon blend, made in Switzerland by POMOCA. Mohair gives superior glide and a smooth skin feel on flat terrain; nylon adds grip, water repellency, and abrasion resistance. The combination outperforms pure synthetic skins on most backcountry terrain.
Will these skins glide in wet snow without icing up?
Yes. The Ever Dry 3.0 (bluesign approved) anti-glopping treatment prevents snow and ice buildup under the skin in wet conditions. Glide Tech coating reduces friction on each skin fiber across a range of snow temperatures. Together they handle the wet spring conditions where basic skins often fail.
Will the adhesive hold on steep terrain?
The Rubber Safer backing (a rubber layer on the skin's underside) prevents the skin from getting waterlogged. Dry skins grip far better than wet ones on steep skin tracks. Grip Tech material also resists twisting and abrasion under dynamic tension.
What's included in the package?
Each pair comes with Quick Tension Tail Clips pre-attached, two backing sheets, a skin bag, and a skin saver for storage. Note: a tip clip is not included in this version: use your existing tip clip or purchase one separately. Trim to your board width and you're ready to tour.
How is this different from the Nomad Pro Trim-to-Fit?
Same mohair/nylon fiber blend and POMOCA Swiss construction. The Nomad Pro adds an explicit PFAS-free certification and includes a universal tip clip. The standard Nomad Skins are the classic option if you already have a tip clip and the Pro's eco certification isn't a deciding factor.
