Meteorite Snowboard Bindings - Eclipse Black 2027 FAQ
Will these bindings be too soft if I like to push hard into carves?
The Meteorite sits at 2/5 flex — a soft, playful feel. It's built for all-terrain cruising, freestyle, and surf-style slashing, not for aggressive high-speed carving. If you need more precision and power transfer on edge, the Orion (3/5) is the better pick. The Meteorite shines when you're tweaking and playing rather than pinning it on steep groomers.
What does the 3° canted foot pillow do?
The 3° canted foot pillow angles your foot slightly inward, aligning it more naturally with your knee. This reduces lateral strain during long resort days and lowers fatigue on multi-hour sessions. It's a comfort-focused feature that makes a real difference when you're always on across varied terrain.
Will the Meteorite mount on a Burton board?
Yes. The Meteorite ships with a universal mounting disk compatible with 4x4, 2x4, and Burton's EST and Channel systems. No adapter needed, it mounts directly on any standard insert board or Burton Channel board.
What does the Flip-It ankle strap system do?
Flip-It lets you flip the ankle strap between two positions: Freeride mode (wide half above the buckle) for more lateral support and board feel, or Surf mode (wide half below) for more ankle flex and a loose, surfy feel. Bushings in the post swap too: hard for Freeride, soft for Surf. The Meteorite ships in Surf mode with soft bushings.
Can I adjust strap fit and forward lean without tools?
Yes. The Meteorite has tool-less strap adjustment (pull and click) and a hinge connector strap attachment for tool-less forward lean changes. Both adjustments can be made on the hill between runs without a screwdriver.
What does the warranty cover?
Jones backs the hanger and post with a lifetime warranty. All other components — straps, buckles, highback, baseplate — are covered for 1 year. If a buckle or strap fails within the first season under normal use, the standard component warranty covers it.
