The 17 mm taper is the most aggressive in the Jones snowboard lineup, meaning the nose is 17 mm wider than the tail. In powder the tail sinks naturally and the wide nose planes up effortlessly. On groomers the narrow tail snaps cleanly out of turns. Switch riding feels noticeably off-balance by design. This board is built for committed forward riding in all-conditions off-piste terrain.
Is the Hovercraft 2.0 mainly for powder days or does it work across the whole mountain?
Jones describes it as an all-conditions freeride board. The medium (3/5) flex makes it adaptable in crud, trees, and variable snow. The Speed Hull base shape and High 3D Contour Base (7 mm spoon nose bevel) optimize it for float and glide, but camber underfoot still provides edge grip on firmer terrain.
