Product Description

The Aviator 2.0 is Jones's hard-charging precision tool for expert riders who demand all-terrain authority. A directional twin with True Camber loads the base with full camber energy tip-to-tail, delivering explosive carving power and dynamic pop. The triple-density Boost Core, Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer, and Koroyd® dampening absorb chatter while keeping things lively. Built for riders who rail turns and stomp airs anywhere on the mountain.

Product Details

Rocker Type True Camber: continuous camber tip-to-tail for maximum energy and response, dynamic pop, and high-speed stability
Flex 4/5 Mid-Stiff
Shape Directional Twin
Sidecut Progressive: sidecut radius increases progressively toward the contact points for smoother turn initiation and exit. Varies by size (see Size Table).
Topsheet Premium Eco Topsheet: bio-plastic (castor oil) topsheet, durable and scratch-resistant, with reduced environmental impact
Core Boost Core: triple-density woodcore combining Bamboo stringers centered for durability, pop, and torsion; Paulownia for lightness and dampening; and Poplar
Laminates Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer: carbon and flax stringer co-developed with Swiss engineer Bcomp; carbon provides pop while flax absorbs vibrations and reduces CO₂ vs. an all-carbon stringer · Triax Fiberglass: triaxial fiberglass (triple-layer, multi-axis) for mid-stiff torsional flex, precise and powerful in variable conditions
Sidewalls Recycled ABS: 100% recycled ABS with rounded finish to reduce chipping
Base Sintered 8000 Base: premium sintered base, ultra-fast, highly wax-absorbent, and easy to repair · Medium 3D Contour Base: 4 mm spoon bevel at the nose, 0–4 mm at the tail, inspired by surfboard hull design to reduce nose/tail friction
Edges Recycled Edges: recycled German steel edges for maximum robustness and durability
Additional Features Koroyd®: synthetic aerospace-technology dampening material, the lightest available; absorbs vibrations and reduces tip swing weight, integrated directly into the woodcore · Medium Traction Tech: medium-level serrations along the running length for improved edge grip · Durabond Bio-Epoxy [27]: bio-sourced epoxy with 27% plant-based carbon, -33% CO₂ vs. conventional petrochemical epoxy, present on 100% of Jones boards
Binding Compatibility MERCURY FASE® (S: US 5–8 / M: US 8.5–10.5 / L: US 11–14)

Aviator 2.0 Snowboard 2027 FAQ

Who is the Aviator 2.0 actually built for?

The Aviator 2.0 is a precision all-mountain board for expert riders who push speed, carve hard on groomers, and want maximum pop for big airs anywhere on the mountain. The 4/5 med-stiff flex, full camber profile, and directional twin shape all demand commitment and reward aggressive, technical riding. Advanced intermediates can ride it, but they will have to work harder to flex the board.

Can I ride the Aviator 2.0 switch?

Yes. The Aviator 2.0 is a directional twin with zero taper, so nose and tail share the same shape and the stance reference is centered. The High Camber profile maintains consistent edge engagement in both directions. If riding switch matters as much as riding regular, the Aviator is built for it with no compromise to either direction.

Will the 4/5 flex feel manageable at resort speeds or is it too demanding?

At 4/5 (med-stiff), the Aviator is responsive and energetic rather than dead-stiff. The Boost Core (Bamboo + Paulownia + Poplar) keeps the board lightweight, and Koroyd dampening absorbs vibration so it does not feel harsh on choppy snow. At slower speeds the board needs more input to flex, so it rewards riders who like to push pace and drive turns rather than cruise.

What does Koroyd add to the Aviator 2.0 in real-world conditions?

Koroyd is an aerospace-derived dampening material integrated directly into the Boost Core. It absorbs the micro-vibrations that build at speed on hard-pack and groomed runs, so the Aviator stays composed and quiet rather than chattering through your feet. It also reduces tip swing weight, making the board feel snappier and easier to flick into turns than the med-stiff rating suggests.

How is edge hold on firm, hard-pack groomed runs?

Excellent. The True Camber profile maintains full contact from nose to tail contact point, loading maximum energy into every carved turn. The Triax Fiberglass (triple-layer, multi-axis) ensures torsional rigidity so the edge engages evenly along its length rather than flexing away under pressure. On firm snow the Aviator 2.0 locks in with authority and does not wash out when you push the limits.

Will the Aviator 2.0 have enough pop for big airs and ollies?

Yes. High Camber preloads energy into the board across the full arc, the Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer adds tip-to-tail snap, and the Boost Core with bamboo stringers provides a lively, explosive platform. Koroyd reduces tip swing weight so the board reacts quickly off the tail. The Aviator 2.0 is explicitly built for big airs and rock-solid stability on landing.
