Almanac Snowboard 2027 FAQ
Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?
The Almanac is built for beginner to intermediate riders. It has a wider waist and a softer flex pattern (5 out of 10) that forgive imprecise movements. The Twin Combination Camber profile (rocker at the tip and tail, camber underfoot) lets you learn switch easily, catch rails without the board catching, and absorb bumps on groomers without washing out.
Should I get a twin or a directional board?
The Almanac is a true twin, so you can ride it switch just as easily as forwards. That means you can spin backward, land tricks in either direction, and adapt on the fly without committing to a single nose-to-tail direction. It trades some pointing efficiency downhill, but you get an all-terrain workhorse that feels the same both ways.
What's the difference between camber and rocker?
The Almanac mixes both: rocker at the tip and tail lifts them off the ground for easier float and forgiveness, while camber between your feet pops when you press and carve. The rocker reduces catch on landings, so you're more forgiving when you slip up. The camber gives you the energy to launch out of tricks or hammer turns without feeling sluggish.
What do the fiberglass layers actually change?
The Almanac uses biaxial fiberglass, which runs on two axes for a playful, forgiving torsional flex. When you twist the board, it flexes rather than resists hard, so you can butter and press without fighting the board. That makes it approachable for learning tricks and riding park, even if you're not picking up rails perfectly.
What do carbon stringers or carbon additives do for the ride?
The Almanac has a carbon backbone running tip-to-tail under your feet. It adds snap and pop without extra weight, so when you press or carve hard, the board snaps back with energy instead of staying mushy. You get liveliness and responsiveness when you want it, combined with the forgiving glass and flexible core for learning.
