Antidote Snowboard 2027 FAQ
Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?
The Antidote is built for advanced and expert riders tackling all-mountain and big-mountain terrain. It features a stiff flex (8/10) with a traditional camber profile and strong carbon reinforcement. On the Antidote, this means you need solid edge control and the ability to handle variable snow and steeps. It rewards aggressive carving and precise line-holding, so it's not forgiving at slow speeds.
Should I get a twin or a directional board?
The Antidote is built as a directional board with a setback stance and tapered tip. The tip is wider and longer than the tail, making it float better in powder and easier to initiate turns. On the Antidote, this design trades switch riding for efficiency in steep terrain and control down the mountain, so you're not meant to ride backwards.
What's the difference between camber and rocker?
The Antidote uses a traditional camber profile, meaning the edge springs up from the center underfoot. This creates constant edge contact and powerful rebound. On the Antidote, camber gives you maximum grip through hard carves and snappy response when you load the board, but it demands precision and can feel catchy in deep powder or over chunky snow.
How stiff should my board be, and what does flex actually change on snow?
The Antidote rates 8 out of 10 in flex, built with a dense paulownia core stiffened by 20-degree triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber ribs. On the Antidote, this stiffness holds a line at high speed and resists chatter on rough groomers, but requires driving power from your legs. Lighter or slower riders may find it tiring over long days.
What makes a base fast: extruded vs. sintered?
The Antidote comes with a wax-infused sintered polyethylene base, factory stone-ground. Sintered bases are denser and more porous than extruded, so they soak up wax and run faster overall. On the Antidote, you get genuine speed across all temperatures, especially on hard or icy conditions, which pairs perfectly with the directional carving design.
