Prodigy Package Kids Snowboard 2027 FAQ
Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?
The Prodigy Package is built for youth beginners through early-intermediate riders learning their first turns and building confidence across the resort. On the Prodigy Package, a soft, playful flex (2 out of 5) and a rocker profile at nose and tail make it forgiving when you're still dialing in your technique. You can focus on progression without fighting the board.
Should I get a twin or a directional board?
This is a directional twin: slightly wider nose and tail but balanced for switch riding and playful riding. On the Prodigy Package, that shape gives you enough nose float to handle powder days and park tricks while keeping the board predictable in normal stance, so you're not locked into one direction as you progress.
What's the difference between camber and rocker?
The Prodigy uses CamRock: rocker tips that sit high, then camber between your bindings. On the Prodigy Package, the rocker nose and tail forgive sloppy edge work and help you stay on top of soft snow, while the camber underfoot snaps back energy for pop and keeps the board responsive in carves.
Is this board good for powder?
Yes. The rocker nose, directional shape with slightly wider front, and rated 7 out of 10 for powder all help here. On the Prodigy Package, you float up higher on soft snow instead of sinking, so you can keep your weight centered without exhausting your legs. It's designed for all-mountain resort days, deep or tracked.
How stiff should my board be, and what does flex actually change on snow?
Flex 2 out of 5 is very soft and playful, built for light bodies and lower speeds. On the Prodigy Package, that softness makes the board maneuverable and forgiving at slow speeds, bends easily to initiate turns, and cushions bumps. It's not for high-speed charging, but it's perfect for learning and building terrain awareness.
