Product Description
Few splitboards earn the Mega designation. The Mega Split does. Engineered from the same DNA as the Mercury and MEGA MERC, it deploys a full Pure MegaCarbon™ construction, an ultra-lightweight 3D Ascend 1 Split Core™, and the fastest MegaDrive™ XT base in the CAPiTA lineup. Resort V2 Directional geometry keeps uphill tracking locked and downhill charging predictable, while the factory-applied Moonshot Omni-Tune™ grind sends you off every pitch at full speed. Built for the rider who counts every gram and gives nothing back to the mountain.

Mega Split Splitboard 2027 FAQ
Is this board for beginners or experienced riders?
This is built for advanced riders. It has a stiff flex of 7/10 with a directional shape and tight sidecut geometry designed for precise edge control. On the Mega Split, that setup rewards aggressive riding and technical turns, making it less forgiving for learning but incredibly responsive for pushing the limits on all terrain.
What makes this so expensive compared to other splitboards?
The core is ultra-premium poplar graded by weight and consistency, reinforced with carbon fiber top to bottom in epoxy resin. The topsheet is a super-thin high-tech laminate that cuts weight by 60 percent. On the Mega Split, those materials and that obsessive lightweight construction mean you're carrying less fatigue on long backcountry days while getting a board that carves and springs back like a resort board.
How do I pick the right size?
Match your weight to the range on the size table: the 155cm fits riders 120-180 lbs, the 159cm fits 140-200 lbs, and the 161cm fits 160-220+ lbs. The stance width increases slightly with size, and the 159cm and 161cm offer wider stance options for more aggressive riding. On the Mega Split, staying within your weight range keeps the board responsive and prevents it from feeling sluggish or overly stiff.
Where does this board perform best?
The directional shape with a 0.8-inch setback and flat camber platform through the contact points is built for all-mountain and freeride terrain. The base is a high-carbon polyethylene with a factory race grind for speed on groomers, and the wider nose floats in powder. On the Mega Split, it excels on mixed terrain from lift-accessed backcountry to groomed runs, handling everything except flat terrain and tight jibs where its stiffness becomes a liability.
Why does it feel so light compared to other splitboards?
The core uses thinner pressure-bonded poplar and paulownia wood strips instead of solid blocks, and the topsheet laminate is 60 percent thinner than standard. The full carbon fiber skin eliminates extra plies. On the Mega Split, that aggressive weight-cutting means dramatically less pump fatigue over long ascents and descents, while the stiffness and carbon rigidity keep the ride locked and precise.
