Product Description
Built to charge without compromise, the YES Pick Your Line Pro DCP is a high-performance freeride weapon engineered for steep lines and deep powder. A Surge Core reinforced with dual bamboo stringers delivers explosive pop and refined dampening, while the Tapered UnderBite sidecut and CamRock 1-4-1 profile eliminate the washout typical of tapered boards. The Coreless Tail adds a surfy, swallow-tail-inspired feel without sacrificing switch utility. For advanced to expert riders ready to pick any line on the mountain.
Product Details
| Rocker Type | CamRock 1-4-1: camber through the middle (4mm) for stability and pop; minimal rocker in nose (1mm) and tail (1mm) for directional float improvement while maintaining camber response |
| Flex | 9 / 10 |
| Shape | Directional with Coreless Tail: longer nose optimized for one primary direction, with core material removed in the tail for weight reduction, increased flexibility, and a surfy feeling similar to a swallow tail while maintaining switch riding versatility and ollie pop |
| Core | Surge Core: 50% Poplar / 50% Paulownia + two Bamboo stringers running tip to tail through the insert pack. Bamboo stringers add pop and responsiveness; Poplar/Paulownia blend delivers consistent flex, performance, and weight reduction |
| Laminates | Triaxial Fiberglass (Triax): fibers running in three directions (length + angle) for torsional stiffness, greater stability, and responsiveness, precise and controlled, suited for advanced and aggressive riding at high speeds · Carbon 2 V1: true biaxial aerospace carbon fiber stringers in a dynamic V-shape from the front insert pack to the board's contact points, enhancing binding response, torsional stiffness, and float in the nose |
| Sidecut | Tapered UnderBite: each side of the effective edge is segmented into 3 distinct parts that step horizontally inward. Increases sidecut depth toward the tail, creating a corrective hook to the taper. Blends into turns with directional drive and float; corrects the washout tendency of traditional tapered boards |

Pick Your Line Pro Dcp Snowboard 2027 FAQ
This is a 9/10 flex freeride board — do I need to be an expert to ride it?
Realistically, yes. The PYL Pro is a 9/10 flex directional board designed for advanced and expert riders charging steep lines, powder, and demanding off-piste terrain. That stiffness demands powerful, committed riding to unlock its response. If you're still developing consistency in variable snow, you'll fight the board more than benefit from it.
The Coreless Tail sounds like it removes part of the board — can I still ride switch on this?
Yes, with caveats. The Coreless Tail removes or alters core material in the tail to create a surfy, swallow-tail-like feel and reduce weight. YES specifically designed it to maintain switch riding versatility and ollie pop, so you're not completely locked in one direction. That said, with 15mm of taper and a directional shape, the PYL Pro is clearly most at home riding forward.
How does this board handle in deep powder — will it actually float?
Float is a core design goal of the PYL Pro. The 15mm taper sinks the tail and lifts the nose naturally. The Carbon 2 V1 carbon stringers form a V-shape from the front inserts to the nose contact points, specifically enhancing nose float. The CamRock 1-4-1 profile adds 1mm of nose rocker to assist entry into soft snow. Combined, these three systems make the board genuinely surfy in powder.
I've heard tapered boards wash out when you push hard carves — does the PYL Pro have that problem?
That's exactly what the Tapered UnderBite sidecut is designed to solve. Instead of a standard taper, the effective edge is segmented into three parts that step inward progressively toward the tail, creating a corrective hook as you carve. This counteracts the tendency of directional tapered boards to lose grip under hard pressure. The board was built to carve and charge, not just float.
What does the Bamboo in the core actually do — is it a meaningful difference?
The Surge Core adds two Bamboo stringers running tip to tail through the insert pack, on top of a 50/50 Poplar/Paulownia base. Bamboo is stiffer and more elastic than both Poplar and Paulownia, so it adds pop, dampens vibration at speed, and makes the board more responsive underfoot. YES specifically notes this as the upgrade from the standard PYL to the PYL Pro.
Will this board fit my boots without heel or toe drag?
The PYL Pro runs from 26.0 to 26.3cm waist width across all four sizes (155 to 161cm). That's a moderately wide waist suited to boot sizes roughly US 10 to 12, depending on brand. If you're on a large boot (US 12+), check the waist width carefully against your boot's sole width. The directional taper also means the nose is wider than the tail, which helps with float but doesn't affect boot fit at the binding area.
