Product Description

The Arc ST Pro is Spark R&D's lightest and most refined splitboard binding, built for riders who refuse to compromise on the skintrack or the descent. It takes the trusted Arc ST geometry and strips every unnecessary gram through carbon reinforced nylon highbacks, 7075 aluminum heel loops, and full Pebax plastics throughout the straps and hardware. For the performance-driven backcountry splitboarder who counts every ounce.

Product Details

Highbacks Carbon Reinforced Nylon construction: more responsive, lighter, and stiffer than standard glass reinforced highbacks. Injection molding enables complex geometry and improved impact strength. Asymmetrical Rip 'N' Flip design with individual left and right highbacks, tool-free forward lean adjustment from 0° to 22°, and a flip to -13° for touring transitions. Stiff toe-to-heel, torsionally flexible for riding mobility. Lateral slots for BD Touring Strap.
Ankle Straps Arc ST Pillow Line Straps in full Pebax plastic: lightweight and flexible with a reduced footprint and a flex window for maximum agility. Pebax provides consistent stiffness in cold temperatures and is 20% lighter than standard Spark material. One-piece molded construction for durability and comfort; waterproof, will not freeze.
Ladders and Adjusters Full Pebax plastic construction for consistent flex across a wide temperature range. 20% lighter than standard Spark material.
Heel Loops 7075 aluminum: thinner and lighter than the standard heel loop while maintaining full structural strength.
Hardware Pro Aluminum Hardware replaces 7 stainless steel components for a 65% hardware weight savings. Deep hex heads reduce strip-out risk; hollow pivot pins save additional weight.
Baseplates CNC Machined Arc ST baseplates with precision cutouts for maximum weight savings.
Touring System Tesla T1 Tech: the ST Whammy Bar side arm levers allow quick switching between stowed, low (12°), and high (18°) heel lift positions. ST Brackets provide smooth, durable touring bracket action via a custom thermoplastic blend overmolded onto underlying metal parts. Snap Ramps lock the binding onto the pucks for riding and release for touring.

Arc St Pro Snowboard Bindings 2027 FAQ

What exactly makes the Arc ST Pro worth the upgrade over the standard Arc ST?

Five targeted upgrades: carbon reinforced nylon highbacks (lighter and more responsive than glass fiber), full Pebax plastics in the straps, ladders, and adjusters (20% lighter, stiffer in cold), 7075 aluminum heel loops, pro aluminum hardware replacing 7 steel components (65% hardware weight savings), and hollow pivot pins. Together they cut 72g per binding vs the Arc ST.

Are the Arc ST Pro bindings compatible with my splitboard setup?

Yes. The Arc ST Pro uses the Tesla T1 Tech system and is compatible with all puck-compatible splitboard bindings. They mount on any board running ST pucks (Flat or Canted) and work with the full Spark R&D ST accessory ecosystem.

How much lighter are these than the standard Arc ST?

The Arc ST Pro weighs 556g per binding vs 628g for the standard Arc ST, a savings of 72g per binding (144g per pair). That's about 12% lighter, achieved through carbon highbacks, Pebax plastics, aluminum hardware, and hollow pivot pins rather than heavier steel equivalents.

How do Pebax straps and adjusters behave differently in cold temperatures?

Pebax is a premium thermoplastic elastomer used in high-end ski boots. Unlike standard nylon-based materials, it maintains consistent stiffness and toughness even in very cold conditions, so straps don't go brittle or lose feel mid-tour. It's also 20% lighter than Spark R&D's standard material.

Do the highbacks still flip tool-free for touring mode?

Yes. The Arc ST Pro keeps the Asym Rip 'N' Flip design: forward lean adjusts tool-free from 0° to 22° in ride mode, and flips to -13° for skinning. The carbon reinforced nylon construction makes them more responsive than standard glass fiber highbacks while keeping the same flip mechanism.

How does the heel lift system work on the skin track?

The Tesla T1 Tech system's ST Whammy Bar side arm levers let you switch between stowed, low (12°), and high (18°) heel lifters using a pole tip, without stopping or removing gloves. Same system as the standard Arc ST, carried over unchanged into the Pro.

Can I add a BD Touring Strap to these bindings?

Yes. The highbacks retain the lateral slots for a Black Diamond Touring Strap, so you can add forefoot security on steep or technical terrain without any modification to the binding.
