The result: a 14 mm stand height and a Z-value of 4 to 13 that fuses ski, boot, and binding into one razor-sharp unit across park, pipe, and off-piste terrain.

Griffon X 13 Mwerks Ski Bindings - Pink/Graphite 2027 FAQ

What makes the Griffon X 13 MWerks different from the standard Griffon X 13?

The MWerks uses a new-generation Triple Pivot Elite X toe with a single-cast one-piece housing, making it lighter, more compact, and more stable than the standard version. The Anti Ice Rail also uses a new, more robust alloy. DIN range, brake widths, and stand height are identical between the two models.

What's the point of a 14 mm stand height, and will I actually feel a difference?

Yes, significantly. The 14 mm stand height is Marker's lowest ever in a freeski binding, achieved by fully integrating the X-Brake into the heel plate. Lower stack puts your boot closer to the ski for faster, more direct edge engagement, less leverage on your legs, and a smoother feel on freeride terrain and in the park.

Will these bindings work with my GripWalk boots?

Yes. The Griffon X 13 MWerks accepts both standard Alpine (ISO 5355 A) and GripWalk (GW A) adult boot soles. It does not support touring (ISO 9523) soles. If you need touring boot compatibility, the Griffon 13 Mn is the right option instead.

Is DIN 4.0 to 13.0 right for an expert-level lighter rider?

The MWerks is specifically positioned for lighter riders skiing at the expert level. The 13.0 ceiling provides headroom for aggressive skiing without sitting at the limit. The single-cast toe housing delivers maximum stiffness and direct power transfer, tuned for riders who want precision at speed rather than just a high DIN number.

How is ice and snow buildup in the toe handled?

The new-generation Anti Ice Rail on the Triple Pivot Elite X uses a more robust alloy than the previous version. It scrapes ice and snow off the boot sole with lateral power transmission on entry. The stainless steel AFD underneath stays moveable regardless of conditions, keeping step-in and release behavior consistent on the coldest, iciest days.

What brake widths are available?

The Griffon X 13 MWerks comes with 90, 105, and 120 mm integrated X-Brakes. The brake is built directly into the heel plate, which is what allows the 14 mm stand height. Choose the width that matches or slightly exceeds your ski's waist measurement.

Is this a park binding, a freeride binding, or can it genuinely do both?

Both, by design. Marker positions the Griffon X 13 MWerks for park, pipe, and off-piste use. The ultra-compact Inter Pivot X heel enables tight turn radii on hard snow; the 14 mm stack is ideal for jumps and park features; and the DIN 4.0 to 13.0 range covers freeride retention needs. Built for riders who don't want a separate binding for each discipline.
