Downsizing, Redefined: Compact Power Without Compromise
For 26/27, we’ve reengineered ski boot sizing to set a new benchmark in performance and fit. Our innovative last design runs longer than industry standards, creating more usable space inside without adding bulk.
This lets us fit a true 26 mondo size into a 295 mm sole length, a downsizing milestone that delivers a sleeker, more responsive boot without sacrificing comfort. The result is reduced swing weight, quicker reaction, and greater control, all in a smaller, more efficient package.

Fs 02 90 Ski Boots 2027 FAQ
What level of skier is the fs 02 90 designed for?
The fs 02 90 is built for intermediate all-mountain skiers and younger riders getting into freeskiing. The 90 flex is forgiving enough to be comfortable at that level while still delivering real energy transfer. It's a solid step-up boot, not a pure beginner slipper.
How do I figure out my size — do I go by my shoe size?
Ski boots use mondopoint sizing, which matches your foot length in centimeters. A US men's 8 / women's 9 corresponds to mondo 26/26.5, for example. Use the size table: measure your foot in mm, find your range, and match it to the mondo size. Don't go by street shoe size alone.
I have average-width feet — will the 100 mm last fit me?
The fs 02 90 has a 100 mm last at mondo 26.5, which is a true medium volume. It scales by 2 mm per half-size (96 mm at 24.5, up to 106 mm at 29.5), so most medium-width feet will find a natural fit without needing to punch the shell.
What's the hybrid cabrio/overlap construction and why does it matter?
The fs 02 90 combines a two-buckle overlap upper (precise fit, strong edge control) with a cabrio-style progressive flex in the lower shell. The result: a boot that feels responsive and accurate without the stiff, punishing feel of a full overlap at this flex level.
What is the Phaenom Strap and what does it actually do?
The Phaenom Strap (patent pending) is a single strap of 100% recycled nylon woven into the construction. It generates a tangible rebound in turns, adds shock absorption, and controls flex progression. One material handles bounce, dampening, and energy return at once.
Will these boots work with my current alpine bindings?
Yes. The fs 02 90 comes with GripWalk soles (ISO 23223). GripWalk is backward-compatible with most modern alpine bindings and all GripWalk-certified bindings. If your bindings are older and ISO 5355 only, check compatibility or swap to the Alpine Sole Pads Set.
Can I adjust the forward lean on these boots?
Yes. The fs 02 90 includes interchangeable flip chips that set forward lean at 13, 15 (default), or 17 degrees. The spoiler and a 2 mm spacer are also included in the box, letting you fine-tune cuff height and stance angle without extra purchases.
How easy is it to get in and out of these every day?
The fs 02 90 includes an Easy Entry System: a low-friction liner interior, a tongue leash for one-hand shell-to-liner connection, and a flap-to-tongue link that keeps all parts aligned when you open and close the boot. Entry is quick even with cold hands.
