Helm Gore-Tex Mitt - Sage FAQ
Should I get the mitt or the glove version of the Helm?
Both share the same tapered, close-to-wrist undercuff construction and Warmth Rating of 4, so the choice comes down to preference. The Helm Mitt groups your fingers together for more shared warmth, while the Helm Glove gives you individual finger dexterity if you need to handle gear or straps on the hill.
How waterproof is this mitt in wet snow?
The Helm GORE-TEX Mitt uses a Perforated Nylon shell with a Silver Membrane, a GORE-TEX insert, and DWR treatment, with Hapalon taping sealing the seams. GORE-TEX is HOWL's partnered waterproofing technology, built to stay durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable through long, wet days.
Will this mitt slip off my wrist when I take it off?
No. The Helm GORE-TEX Mitt closes with a Velcro strap and elasticized wrist, and it comes with a removable premium leash to keep it attached when you pull it off for lift tickets or your phone.
