Crab Grab describes the Cargo Mitt as "cargo pants for your hands" with pockets for small items you'd otherwise stuff in your jacket. Think lift tickets, hand warmers, lip balm, a small snack, keys, anything you want quick access to without unzipping a chest pocket. The cargo pockets sit on the mitt itself, so your hands stay free.
How waterproof are the Cargo Mitts?
The Cargo Mitt uses the 15K Dry-Claw Hipora membrane, a Crab Grab customized 3-layer waterproof breathable barrier that blocks liquid water while letting sweat vapor escape. The shell also gets a PFAS Free DWR coating, and the high-denier woven nylon shell adds physical durability on top of the waterproofing system.
What does "Mid Weight PLUS" mean in terms of warmth?
Mid Weight PLUS puts the Cargo Mitt a step above standard mid-weight mitts in the Crab Grab lineup. It uses HOT CLAW 100% recycled insulation and Hand Sandwich Construction, which concentrates more insulation on the back of the hand. The result is a mitt warm enough for cold days and extended sessions in harsh conditions.
