Product Description
The Orion is built for freeriders who refuse to choose between the mountain and the park. A medium flex keeps response snappy without sacrificing playfulness, while Flip-It ankle strap technology toggles on the fly between locked lateral support in Freeride mode and a surfy heel hold in Surf mode. ZyTech ratchets engage fast, and a universal disk handles any insert pattern. From first chair to last lap.

Orion Snowboard Bindings - Cloud White 2027 FAQ
I have a Burton board. Will the Orion bindings mount on it?
Yes. The Orion ships with a universal mounting disk compatible with traditional 4x4, 2x4, and Burton's EST and Channel systems. No adapter needed, just mount directly on your Burton board.
I'm between size S and M, which should I pick?
Size S covers US boot sizes 5–7, size M covers 7.5–10. If you're right on the line, lean toward your riding style: park riders can size down for a tighter feel; freeriders can size up for a bit more adjustment range. The Orion's tool-less strap adjustment lets you fine-tune fit within the size you choose.
What does the Flip-It ankle strap system actually do?
Flip-It lets you rotate the ankle strap to choose between two modes: Freeride mode (wide half above the buckle) for more lateral support and board response, and Surf mode (wide half below) for more ankle flex and mobility. The bushings in the post swap too: hard for Freeride, soft for Surf. The Orion ships with soft bushings in Surf mode.
Will these bindings be too stiff for tricks, or too soft for carving?
Neither. At 3/5 flex, the Orion sits squarely in the middle. It's loose enough to tweak and play in the park, precise enough for sharp carves and summit-to-base freeriding. Jones calls it a versatile all-terrain binding, which is accurate for riders who don't want to choose between playfulness and edge control.
Will the buckles hold up through a full season of daily riding?
The Orion uses ZyTech buckles: levers made from Zytel Fiber Composite with stainless steel springs and a triple-action ratchet for fast, repeatable entry. Jones backs the hanger and post with a lifetime warranty; all other components including buckles carry a 1-year warranty.
Can I adjust forward lean without tools on the hill?
Yes. The Orion uses a hinge connector strap attachment for tool-less forward-lean adjustment. Strap fit is also tool-less: pull and click, no screwdriver needed. Both adjustments can be made between runs.
What does the warranty actually cover on these bindings?
Jones offers a lifetime warranty on the hanger and post, the structural core of the binding. All other components (straps, buckles, highback, baseplate) are covered for 1 year. For a mid-flex all-terrain binding, the lifetime structural coverage is a meaningful long-term guarantee.
