Product Description

The United Shapes Horizon is the one-board quiver for resort riders who refuse to pick a lane. A directional shape with a Lifted-Camber-Lifted profile gives you confident carving on groomers, snappy pop off side hits, and extra float when the powder rolls in. Energy Core 2.0 keeps the build light and lively, while triax fiberglass and a vertical carbon stringer deliver the backbone for anything the mountain throws at you. Handcrafted in Austria with sustainably sourced materials.

Product Details

Rocker Type Lifted-Camber-Lifted: early rise at both tip and tail surrounds positive camber between the feet. The lifted tips ease turn initiation and add float in powder, while the camber underfoot delivers edge hold and pop on groomers and side hits.
Shape Directional: nose is longer than the tail, optimized for forward-facing riding. 4mm taper (3.5mm on the 163w Wide) channels float and drive in variable snow.
Flex 6 / 10 (medium), balanced between playfulness and stability.
Core Energy Core 2.0: FSC-certified poplar, paulownia and beech. Paulownia keeps the board light and surfy; beech adds snap and backbone for drive through turns.
Carbon Tip-tail vertical carbon stringer: a single stringer running from tip to tail adds energy and pop without stiffening the overall flex feel.
Laminates Triax fiberglass top and bottom: triaxial glass on both faces balances torsional flexibility with longitudinal response, blending edge hold with a lively ride feel.
Sidewalls Extruded ABS: durable extruded ABS sidewalls; production offcuts are recycled back into the extrusion process.
Base Sintered P-Tex 3000: high-performance sintered base with excellent wax absorption for lasting speed.
Resin Super Sap bio-based epoxy: bio-derived epoxy resin that reduces the environmental footprint across the full construction.
Binding Compatibility Deep Days inserts: standard 6-pack plus additional setback inserts, letting you shift your stance back for extra nose length and float on powder days without compromising everyday resort performance.

Horizon Snowboard 2027 FAQ

What kind of rider is this board made for?

The Horizon is designed for everyday all-mountain riders who want one versatile board. It has medium flex and a directional shape that handles groomers, side hits, natural terrain, and powder days with equal confidence. On the Horizon, that balanced design means you can carve aggressively one run and play in the park the next without feeling like you're fighting the board.

I like to carve hard and push speed. Will this board work for me?

The core blends lightweight paulownia with stiffer beech, reinforced by a carbon stringer running tip-to-tail. On the Horizon, that combination keeps the board responsive without being jittery at speed. The directional shape holds an edge through high-speed carves while the medium flex gives enough forgiveness when you're pushing your limits on groomers.

What does this lightweight core actually do?

The Energy Core 2.0 mixes FSC poplar and paulownia for weight savings with beech for snap and energy. On the Horizon, that hybrid construction lets you ollie and maneuver in the park without fatigue, while still popping reliably when you butter or press. The vertical carbon stringer adds extra response when you're trying to send it.

How does this board handle powder days?

The nose sits wider and lifts up earlier than the tail, and extra inserts are positioned further back (setback inserts). On the Horizon, that geometry keeps the front floating above fresh snow while your feet stay planted on the back, so you burn less leg and stay in control even when conditions get deep.

Why does this board cost what it does?

It's handcrafted in Austria from premium, certified materials: FSC poplar and beech core, carbon reinforcement, bio-based epoxy, and high-performance sintered base. On the Horizon, those choices add up to a board that feels alive on edge, pops cleanly, and rides predictably across everything from park to powder. You're paying for durability and thoughtful construction, not just hype.
