On the X Approach, it's called STR8JKT BOA Pro and its job is to lock down heel lift, so your foot stays planted and centered in the boot. That means less slipping, more responsive edge work, and less fatigue from micro-adjustments all day.
Why laces and BOA together? Isn't that complicated?
The boot pairs traditional laces for the main foot pocket with the BOA Pro harness at the heel.
