Spring Break Resort Twin Wide Snowboard 2027 FAQ
Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?
This is a true twin with a softer flex, built for intermediate and advanced riders who split time between the park and resort. The 5 out of 10 flex (on the softer side) makes it playful and forgiving underfoot, so you can throw tricks and experiment with your riding style without constantly over-correcting.
Should I get a wide board?
If you're a US size 11 or larger, yes. The Wide version (marked W) adds about 0.5 inches across the waist compared to standard, which keeps your toe and heel from dragging in hard carves. On this board, the extra width doesn't slow you down in the park because the effective edge is nearly identical.
What's the difference between All-Mountain, Freestyle, and Freeride?
The Spring Break Resort Twin is a freestyle and resort board. It excels on groomers and in the park with tricks and jumps, thanks to its raised camber platform through the inserts and flat kick arcs in the nose and tail. It's not designed for backcountry or deep powder, so save that for a directional powder board.
What makes a base fast, extruded vs. sintered?
This board uses a proprietary sintered base called Powder Drive, custom-formulated for Spring Break shapes. Sintered bases hold wax better and are faster on cold, icy snow, but demand regular waxing. You'll notice it holding speed through groomed runs and park laps better than an extruded base would.
What do carbon stringers or carbon additives do for the ride?
Four 30 mm carbon amplifiers run front-to-back under your feet for extra pop and snappy energy return without adding weight. Combined with the stiff beech stringers in the core, this gives the board lively response when you ollie or flex it into a turn, even on groomed snow.
