Product Description
The YES Greats is the freestyle twin that refuses to be boxed in. Its Asymmetric shape corrects the energy imbalance between heel and toe turns, delivering crisp edge engagement on hardpack and surprising float when snow gets deep. The Torrent Core keeps it light and snappy, while the upgraded Carbon 2 FS stringer sharpens response from takeoff to landing. For intermediate to advanced riders who want park precision and resort versatility in one board.
Product Details
| Rocker Type | CamRock 2-4-2: camber through the middle (4mm) for stability and pop, rocker in nose (2mm) and tail (2mm) for a forgiving feel and improved float in powder |
| Flex | 7 / 10 |
| Shape | Asym Twin: true twin outline with an asymmetric sidecut. The heelside radius is tighter than the toeside, making heelside turns easier to initiate and more precise without extra effort. Setback: 0mm. Taper: 0mm |
| Core | Torrent Core: 80% Paulownia / 20% Poplar. Paulownia delivers an extremely lightweight and durable platform; Poplar adds consistent flex and pop. Agile and responsive across diverse snow conditions and riding styles |
| Laminates | Biaxial Fiberglass (Biax): fibers running in two directions (length and width) for a balanced, forgiving flex pattern and enhanced torsional flexibility, playful and versatile in all conditions · Carbon 2 FS: a single stringer of biaxial aerospace carbon fiber running straight along the board's centerline from tip to insert packs, boosting longitudinal stiffness for precise control during takeoffs and landings. Upgraded placement for 26/27 |
| Sidecut | Asym MidBite: MidBite geometry with asymmetry. The heel edge carries a tighter radius than the toe edge, requiring less power to initiate a heelside turn. Balances the mechanical energy of heel vs. toe engagement for optimized turn initiation, improved edge control, and reduced fatigue |

Greats Snowboard 2027 FAQ
What level do I need to be to get the most out of the Greats?
The Greats is aimed at freestyle-focused intermediate to advanced riders. At 7/10 flex with an Asym Twin shape and CamRock 2-4-2 profile, it rewards commitment: it carves hard, pops well, and excels in the park. Beginners will find it a bit demanding. If you're solid on groomers and want a board that pushes your riding rather than just following it, you're in the right zone.
The Greats is called an asymmetric board — what does that actually change for me while riding?
On the Greats, the Asym MidBite sidecut gives the heel edge a tighter radius than the toe edge. Because your heel-side turn naturally requires more effort to initiate than your toe-side, the tighter heel radius reduces the energy needed to engage it. The result: both turns feel similarly effortless and the board is less tiring over a full day of hard riding.
Can I use the Greats for both the park and hard carving, or do I have to pick one?
That's exactly what it's built for. The Asym Twin shape with 0mm setback rides switch as well as regular, which keeps it park-friendly. The Carbon 2 FS stringer (a biaxial aerospace carbon fiber line along the board's center) adds longitudinal stiffness and snap for takeoffs and landings. On hard snow, the asymmetric sidecut grips precisely. YES calls it the best carving twin on the market.
Will this board have enough pop for ollies and hitting jumps?
Yes. The Torrent Core (80% Paulownia / 20% Poplar) keeps the board light while the Poplar provides a lively, energetic flex. The Carbon 2 FS carbon stringer stiffens the nose-to-tail axis, which translates directly into snap off the tail and stable landings. For 26/27, YES upgraded the carbon placement specifically to improve responsiveness.
How does the Greats handle in powder or off-piste?
The Greats isn't a dedicated powder board, but it's not helpless off-piste either. The CamRock 2-4-2 profile adds 2mm of rocker in the nose and tail, which lifts the tips slightly for improved float in softer snow. The sintered base also glides well through variable conditions. Don't expect a powder surfer feel, but it manages powder days without needing a board swap.
I'm between two sizes on the Greats — how do I choose?
Start with the rider weight ranges in the size table. If you're in the overlap, your riding style tips the decision: shorter (149 or 151) for a more playful, park-oriented feel; longer (154, 156, or 159) for more stability at speed and in variable snow. Note that all sizes run at 25.3 to 26.2cm waist width, so boot drag is generally not a concern unless you're on a very wide boot.
