Product Description
Built entirely around one obsession, the Pescado drops into deep snow and refuses to leave. A swallowtail geometry pushes the tail under the surface while a massive shovel charges the tip skyward, giving you effortless float at any pitch. The directional back-mounted stance locks you into command whether you're threading tight chutes or surprising yourself on a groomer. One length, one mission: the deepest stuff you can find.
Product Details
| Rocker Profile | 20-4-1: extreme early rise tip that lifts the shovel aggressively in deep snow, with minimal tail rocker that keeps the tail reactive without going loose on firm terrain |
| Flex | Soft |
| Swallowtail Design | The forked tail sinks into powder, automatically raising the tip for control in deep snow, while retaining enough surface area behind the fork for groomer carving |
| Massive Shovel | Extra-wide tip delivers maximum float in deep and unconsolidated snow |
| Directional Back-Mounted Stance | Stance set toward the tail biases weight distribution for powder lift, and channels the same geometry into responsive edge-to-edge transitions on hardpack |
| Core | Paulownia-only construction, the lightest wood in LINE's lineup, keeping swing weight minimal for a playful, surfy feel in powder |

Pescado Skis 2027 FAQ
Is the Pescado really only a powder ski, or can I ski it on groomers too?
It's primarily a powder specialist, but LINE says the directional back-mounted stance geometry also allows the Pescado to carve groomers exceptionally well. The swallowtail sinks in deep snow and raises the tip, but on firm snow the same geometry lets it rail carves. It's not an all-mountain ski — save it for powder days and occasional groomer runs.
Why does the Pescado only come in one length?
The Pescado is available in 180 cm only. It's a specialist powder ski with a specific geometry: a 125mm waist, 20-4-1 profile (extreme early rise tip), swallowtail, and directional back-mounted stance. That combination is optimized for a single sweet spot. It's not a ski you size up or down — 180 is the ski.
What is the swallowtail and why does it matter in powder?
The swallowtail is a split tail design that removes material at the back of the ski. On the Pescado, this works with the directional back-mounted stance to let the tail sink deeper in powder, which raises the tip and gives you more control in deep snow. It also reduces the tail's swing weight, making the ski feel lighter and more surfy.
What's the core made of, and is the flex soft or stiff?
The Pescado uses a Paulownia wood core. Paulownia is known for being lightweight and responsive. LINE describes the Pescado as having a soft flex, which pairs with the wide 125mm waist and swallowtail to create a forgiving, floaty ride in deep snow rather than a stiff, powerful one.
Do these come with bindings?
No. The Pescado is sold as a flat ski without bindings. The catalog mentions a directional back-mounted stance conceptually, but no specific binding mount point or binding recommendation is provided. You'll need to mount bindings separately, ideally with guidance on the recommended stance position.
Am I good enough for the Pescado — is it hard to ski?
The soft flex, wide 125mm waist, and massive shovel make the Pescado forgiving in powder. It's designed to float and self-guide in deep snow rather than demand technical precision. That said, it's a specialist tool best appreciated by intermediate to advanced skiers with some off-piste experience who want a dedicated deep-snow ski.
