Product Description
The Cortex Team Zonal Boa 120 is built for skiers who want maximum precision from entry to apex. Two independent BOA dials lock the cuff and shell zones separately, letting you tune upper-lower tension with surgical accuracy. A True LV Fit shell wraps the foot in a 96–98 mm last, the Energy Bolt Spine drives rearward support, and the EliteFit Pro liner fine-tunes edge feel through integrated SES shims. For advanced to expert skiers demanding a locked, responsive boot all day.

Cortex Team Zonal Boa 120 Ski Boots 2027 FAQ
How does the BOA system actually work on these — isn't one dial enough?
The Cortex Team Zonal BOA 120 uses two independent BOA dials: one controls the upper cuff zone, the other controls the lower shell zone. This lets you dial in cuff tension and forefoot hold separately, which is useful if you need a tight lower wrap but a slightly relaxed cuff (or vice versa). Micro-adjustments are incremental, so there's no hunting for the right buckle notch.
I have a narrow, low-volume foot — will these fit or will I be swimming in them?
The Cortex Team Zonal BOA 120 uses the True LV Fit shell at 96–98mm last, which is genuinely narrow and low-volume by alpine boot standards. It's designed precisely for skiers with narrow feet who find standard 100mm+ boots too roomy to control. If your foot is medium or wide, you'll want a different shell.
What flex is the 120 version, and what level of skier is it for?
This variant is rated flex 120, sitting at a 9 on K2's 1–10 precision scale. That's a high-performance stiffness suited to advanced and expert skiers who ski aggressively and want immediate power transfer. It's softer than the 140 variant, but not by much — this is not a boot for intermediate or casual skiers.
Can I adjust the boot's alignment to match my stance — I tend to knock-kneed or bow-legged?
Yes. The Cortex Team Zonal BOA 120 includes Dual Cuff Alignment, a dual-sided canting system that adjusts lateral cuff angle by up to +/- 2 degrees. That's enough to compensate for moderate knock-knee or bow-legged stance and improve edge engagement without a custom footbed or shell modification.
Will these work with my current alpine bindings?
The Cortex Team Zonal BOA 120 ships with GripWalk outsoles. GripWalk soles require GripWalk-certified bindings and are not guaranteed to release correctly in standard DIN/ISO alpine bindings. The outsoles are removable and interchangeable. Confirm your bindings are GripWalk-compatible before purchasing.
Are the Ski Edge Sensitivity Shims something I need to set up, or do they come ready to ski?
The Ski Edge Sensitivity Shims (SES) are tunable inserts inside the EliteFit Pro liner. Moving shims to the medial side makes the ski feel more reactive and quicker to edge; moving them to the lateral side gives a more controlled, stable feel. They come installed in a default position and you adjust based on preference, no tools needed.
How do I size these — I'm a mondopoint 25.5 but wonder if the narrow last will change anything?
Mondopoint sizing doesn't change with last width — 25.5 mondo means your foot is 25.5 cm long. What the 96–98mm True LV Fit affects is fore-aft and lateral volume, not length. Order your measured foot length in mondo. If your foot is narrow and low-arch, the True LV Fit will likely feel correct with minimal dead space. The Cortex Team runs 22.5 to 28.5.
