The Attack LYT 11 GW brings the legendary Attack precision to riders who push hard on any terrain. Its FR LYT toe sheds 15% of the weight without compromising boot centering or release consistency, while automatic GripWalk compatibility means no adjustments when switching to walk-mode boots. Low 17 mm stand height keeps you close to the snow for intuitive edge-to-edge transitions. Built for advanced all-mountain skiers who want to go anywhere, fast.

Attack Lyt 11 Gw Ski Bindings - Sand 2027 FAQ

My boots have GripWalk soles — do I need to adjust anything when mounting these bindings?

No adjustments needed. The Attack LYT 11 GW carries the GripWalk A certification (ISO 23223 Type A) and the FR LYT toe adjusts automatically to your boot sole height. It also accepts standard alpine boots (ISO 5355 Type A), so you can switch between GripWalk and traditional alpine boots without touching anything on the binding.

How do I choose between the 95 mm and 110 mm brake options?

Match the brake width to your ski's waist. For skis with a waist up to around 95 mm, go with the 95 mm brake; for wider all-mountain or powder skis up to roughly 110 mm, choose the 110 mm option. Brakes that are too narrow won't deploy cleanly after a fall, so when in doubt, size up.

Is DIN 3-11 enough, or will I hit the ceiling if I ski hard?

The 3-11 range suits advanced skiers from lighter intermediates up to strong all-mountain riders. If your calculated DIN value sits at 9 or above (typically heavier or very aggressive skiers), you may be near the top of the usable range. Tyrolia rates this binding at the Advanced level, not for the heaviest or most aggressive expert category.

What does 'LYT' mean, and is this binding actually lighter than a regular Attack?

LYT refers to the FR LYT Toe, engineered by Tyrolia to be 15% lighter than the standard Attack toe. The full binding comes in at 905 g per piece. The lighter toe keeps the Attack's lateral spring design, boot centering geometry and consistent release values intact, so you lose grams without giving up the retention feel the Attack line is known for.

Can I ride park features in the morning and ski powder in the afternoon with these?

Yes. Tyrolia positions the Attack LYT 11 GW explicitly for any terrain: piste, park, pipe and powder. The binding sits in the freeride/freeski category (manufacturer label: Freestyle/Freeride), built to absorb park impact while handling off-piste snow equally well. It is not a race or dedicated backcountry binding.

Will the 17 mm stack height noticeably change how the skis feel underfoot?

At 17 mm, the stand height sits in line with most alpine freeride bindings and won't feel unusually elevated compared to a standard all-mountain setup. The compact design Tyrolia highlights for the LYT refers to the binding's slimmer footprint and lighter toe, not a reduction in stand height.

Can I use these with my touring or AT boots?

No. The Attack LYT 11 GW supports the GripWalk A certification only: standard alpine boots (ISO 5355 Type A) and Walk-mode GripWalk boots (ISO 23223 Type A). It does not cover the touring norm (ISO 9523), so it is not compatible with AT or touring boots. You need a multi-norm (MNC) or dedicated touring binding for that use.
