Product Description
Built for the skier who earns turns and demands full commitment on the descent, the Backland Xtd 110 bridges the gap between touring efficiency and all-mountain power. Its Hybrid Overlap shell delivers a Flex 110 response that carves confidently, while the Free/Lock 4.5 cuff hinge with Energy Backbone keeps each uphill stride smooth. A 100 mm Touring Last and Touring ISO 9523 sole make it equally at home clipped into a tech binding or striding toward the ridgeline.

Backland Xtd 110 Ski Boots 2027 FAQ
Can I actually walk uphill in these, or are they stiff like regular alpine boots?
The Backland XTD 110 has a Free/Lock 4.5 hinge with a dedicated walk mode, giving you 74 degrees of cuff range of motion. That's enough to hike efficiently on steep terrain, and you switch to lock for the descent in seconds.
Will these work with my alpine bindings at the resort?
The Backland XTD 110 uses a Touring ISO 9523 sole, which is compatible with tech/touring bindings. It is not designed for standard alpine ISO 5355 bindings. If you need resort alpine binding compatibility, look at the GripWalk version instead.
I have a medium-width foot — will flex 110 in a touring boot fit snugly enough for hard skiing?
The boot uses a 100 mm last (medium width, medium volume), so it suits a standard foot without feeling sloppy. The Memory Fit shell is heat-moldable for a personalized shell fit, and the 3D Gold Tour Liner adds 3D ankle and heel hold to keep your foot placed on descent.
How heavy are these? I don't want to be exhausted before I even reach the top.
The Backland XTD 110 weighs 1,369 g per boot (measured at size 26-26.5). For a flex-110 hike-and-ride boot, that's a reasonable balance between uphill efficiency and downhill control.
Can I customize the forward lean, or is it fixed?
Yes. The boot offers three forward lean settings: 13, 15 (default), and 17 degrees. You adjust it to match your skiing style or anatomy without needing a boot fitter.
Is the liner washable? Touring boots can get pretty ripe after a long day.
Yes, the 3D Gold Tour Liner is fully washable. It also uses a Breathable Construction to manage moisture during long ascents, so it stays fresher between washes.
