Product Description

Built for young riders ready to follow their parents into deep snow, the Bent Chetler Mini translates the iconic adult powder charger into a kid-sized package without compromise. The Powder Rocker profile (20/65/15) lifts tip and tail for effortless float in variable conditions, while a Light Woodcore paired with Densolite foam keeps the overall weight low enough for developing legs to drive the ski with confidence. Available in two age-matched size ranges, it grows with the rider from first powder days all the way through their junior freeride progression.

Bent Chetler Mini Skis 2027 FAQ

Which size range fits my kid — the 133-143 or the 153-163?

Atomic targets 133-143 cm for ages 5-8 years, and 153-163 cm for ages 8-13 years. Within each range, match length to height and ability: shorter for beginners, longer for more confident riders. The 133 cm version weighs 1,040 g, while the 153 cm weighs 1,200 g, so the smaller range is noticeably lighter for younger kids.

Do these come with bindings included?

Both size ranges are available as a set with bindings: the 133-143 pairs with Colt 7 GW, and the 153-163 pairs with Strive 10. Each is also available as a ski-only option if you have bindings already.

Is the powder rocker going to make these too loose on groomed runs?

The Powder Rocker (20/65/15) has more rocker at tip and tail than a standard all-mountain profile, but the 65% camber underfoot still gives edge grip on hardpack. Kids won't struggle on groomers — the float advantage in softer snow is a bonus, not a compromise.

Is this ski tough enough for a kid who throws it around and hits jumps?

The Bent Chetler Mini uses a Resist Edge Park chant, specifically reinforced to handle contact with rails and boxes. The Dura Cap Sidewall adds further impact resistance. It's built for active, playful junior skiing beyond just groomed runs.

How does this differ from the Bent JR — they look similar?

The Bent Chetler Mini has a wider waist (91-94 mm vs. 78-85 mm on the Bent JR), a more pronounced Powder Rocker (20/65/15 vs. All Mountain Rocker 15/75/10), and a Resist Edge Park chant. It's the powder and freestyle-oriented junior ski, while the Bent JR is the narrower all-mountain piste option.
