Product Description
The QST 94 is Salomon's gateway into the QST freeride family: nimble enough for groomed runs, capable enough to venture off-piste. Basalt and fiberglass fibers run the full length of the ski, locking down edge grip while keeping the flex lively and responsive. A full poplar woodcore adds stability without dead weight, while a new injected cork and TPU damplifier in the tip and tail kills vibration before it reaches your feet. Built for skiers who move between pistes and powder without compromise.

| Core | Full Poplar Woodcore: full-length poplar wood construction that maximizes liveliness, stability and ski-to-snow contact while filtering vibrations. |
| Laminates | Basalt & Fiberglass Fibers: full-length integration of basalt fibers seamlessly paired with fiberglass, delivering unparalleled flex and superior edge grip across the entire platform. · Cork Damplifier Tip & Tail: a new single, injected piece of cork and TPU positioned within the rocker profile in the tip and tail, providing best-in-class dampening and absorption without adding weight. |
Qst 94 Skis - Lilac 2027 FAQ
Is the QST 94 an all-mountain ski or more of a dedicated off-piste ski?
The QST 94 is the narrowest in the QST freeride family at 94mm underfoot, positioning it squarely in all-mountain territory. It handles groomed runs with good edge grip while still being wide enough for off-piste excursions and light powder. If you spend most of your time on-piste with occasional sidecountry, the 94 is the QST that fits that balance best.
What length should I get for my height and weight?
The QST 94 comes in five lengths: 156, 164, 172, 180, and 188 cm. A common starting point is a ski that reaches nose height when standing, then adjust up if you're heavier than average for your height or prefer high-speed stability, or down if you prioritize quick, playful turns. The weight range per ski (1520 g at 156 cm to 1940 g at 188 cm) reflects how substantially more ski you get at longer lengths.
What do basalt fibers actually do in a ski construction?
On the QST 94, basalt fibers run full-length from tip to tail, paired with fiberglass. Basalt is stiffer and denser than standard fiberglass, which improves edge grip and torsional stiffness across the platform. The result is a ski that holds its edge more consistently, especially on hard snow, without being as heavy as a titanal-reinforced ski.
What is the Cork Damplifier and will I actually feel the difference?
The Cork Damplifier is a single injected piece of cork and TPU positioned within the tip and tail rocker sections of the QST 94. Cork absorbs vibration without adding meaningful weight, so the ski feels smoother and more planted on chattery or rough snow. The dampening is targeted at the tip and tail where vibration typically enters the ski first.
Does the QST 94 come with bindings, or do I need to buy those separately?
The QST 94 is sold as a flat ski without bindings. You'll need to purchase and mount bindings separately. A shop tech will drill and mount them to your boot sole length and stance preference.
I'm between the QST 94 and QST 100 — which one is right for me?
If you ski mostly on-piste with occasional off-piste, the QST 94 at 94mm will feel more precise on groomers and edge-hold will be sharper. If your days lean toward backcountry, powder, or you want one ski for all conditions including soft snow, the QST 100 at 100mm gives you more float and versatility off-piste. Both share the same core construction.
