Which goggles do these Sigma lenses fit?
These lenses are made for the Sentry Prime frame only. They use lens codes with the SI prefix (Sentry Prime). They are not interchangeable with Sentry Pro or S/View frames. The Sentry Prime uses a magnetic lens system with a secured clip, so swapping is tool-free and fast on the hill.
What makes the Sigma lens different from a standard goggle lens?
Sigma is Salomon's spectral filtering technology: it reduces green light in the middle of the visible spectrum while amplifying blue and red light transmission. On snow, this sharpens color contrast and depth perception, helping your eye spot terrain changes, flat light bumps, and icy sections more quickly than with a conventional tinted lens.
Is there a photochromic Sigma option for the Sentry Prime?
Yes. The Sigma Photo Sky Blue (Cat.1-3) automatically darkens in bright sun and lightens in overcast or flat light, while keeping Sigma's contrast enhancement active. It covers a wide VLT range and is the most versatile single-lens option if you ride in changing conditions throughout the day.
I ride in very bright conditions at altitude. Is there a dark enough lens?
Yes. The Sigma Black Silver (Cat.4, VLT 6%) is the darkest option in the Sentry Prime Sigma range. At 6% light transmission, it's designed for glacier-level brightness and very sunny alpine days. Pair it with a lighter lens (Cat.1 or photochromic) for mixed-light days.
Do these lenses protect against UV and fogging?
Every Sentry Prime Sigma lens provides 100% UV cut (ISO 18527-1:2022). When installed in the Sentry Prime frame, double lens construction insulates the inner lens to prevent fogging, and each lens is treated with an anti-fog coating. The frame's 360-degree ventilation also helps evacuate moisture during active riding.
