Can I wear these over my prescription glasses?
Yes. Like the full DX3 OTG line, the Ion version is built with foam cut-outs in the frame where your temple arms slide in, keeping a full facial seal around your glasses. Dragon states this design doesn't sacrifice comfort, goggle fit, or peripheral vision compared to riding without glasses inside the goggle.
What does the ION coating actually add to the lens?
The Ionized coating on the Dx3 OTG Ion adds glare reduction and richer color rendering on top of the Lumalens Color Optimized base. It cuts harsh reflections off snow and ice, which reduces eye strain on bright days. Non-ION versions of the DX3 OTG have all the same coatings except this Ionized layer.
Which ION tint should I pick for my usual riding conditions?
The Dx3 OTG Ion comes in seven tints spanning 6% to 70% VLT. Yellow Red Ion (70%) or Flash Blue Ion (48%) suit flat or overcast light. Pink Ion (54%) and Rose Gold Ion (42%) cover variable to bright days. Green Ion (23%) and Silver Ion (14%) are for bright conditions. Red Ion (6%) is best on intense bluebird days only.
Will these fog up during the day?
The Dx3 OTG Ion has a Super Anti-Fog Coating on the inner lens surface, plus Oleophobic and Hydrophobic coatings on the outer lens to repel water and oils. The Dual Layer Face Foam with Hypoallergenic Micro Fleece Lining manages sweat at the seal. Together these layers are designed to keep the lens clear through temperature swings and chairlift rides.
Do these work with a helmet?
Yes, the Dx3 OTG Ion is helmet compatible. If your face shape doesn't seal well with standard frames, Dragon also makes an Alternative Fit (AF) variant with adjusted frame geometry. Check which variant is available for the colorway you're choosing.
What face size does this fit?
The Dx3 OTG Ion is a medium-fit goggle designed for most adult faces. If standard goggles tend to be too wide or too narrow for you, the Alternative Fit (AF) version adjusts the frame geometry for a better seal on smaller or flatter face profiles.
Does a bonus lens come in the box?
Yes. Every Dx3 OTG Ion includes a bonus lens in the box, a $55 value. You get two Lumalens ION lenses right away: one mounted, one spare. The spare lets you adapt to different light conditions without an extra purchase.
