What's the difference between this and the regular Boot Backpack 50L?
The DLX steps up to 75 liters (versus 50L) and adds extra organization: top and front zippered cargo pockets plus two large zippered side pockets, versus the 50L's single front cargo pocket. It also adds side webbing compression straps for cinching down a partial load or lashing extra gear to the outside, which the 50L doesn't have.
Will my boots stay separate from my clothes?
Yes, it has the same back-panel-accessed, tarp-lined boot compartment as the 50L, keeping wet boots sealed off from the rest of your pack. The tarp lining contains moisture and slush so it doesn't migrate into your cargo pockets.
Is there a spot for my helmet and goggles?
The DLX includes a large padded helmet and goggle pocket, protecting both from scratches or impact against boots and other gear packed in the main compartments.
Can I compress the load or strap extra gear to the outside?
