How waterproof and breathable are these pants really?
The S2000 Cargo Pant uses a PFAS-free 20K/20K waterproof/breathable membrane, meaning it can hold back 20,000mm of water pressure while still venting sweat and body heat. Every seam is fully taped and the outer fabric carries a PFC-free DWR finish, so wet snow beads off instead of soaking in during slushy or storm days.
What's the outer fabric like, will it hold up to daily riding?
The shell is a 2-ply flat weave dry fabric with mechanical stretch, giving you some give through squats and turns without sacrificing abrasion resistance. Paired with fully taped seams and hardware from YKK, this is built as a daily-driver fabric rather than a delicate weekend piece.
Can I dump heat if I'm hiking or working hard in these?
Yes. The S2000 Cargo Pant has YKK Vislon zippered inner-leg vents that run along the thigh, so you can crack them open on the skin track or a warm bootpack and zip back up once you're moving fast again. Simple, no mesh flap to fuss with.
How much storage do these pants actually have?
Plenty. On top of standard hand pockets closed with YKK Vislon zippers and lined in power mesh (so they drain and breathe), there are large YKK Vislon zippered cargo pockets on the thighs for a phone, goggles, or gloves. A removable carabiner pass hook lets you clip on extra gear too.
Will these pants keep snow out when I'm riding over my boots?
The S2000 Cargo Pant has a snow gator at the leg opening with gripper tape and a metal hook that catches your boot laces, keeping the cuff pinned down. Adjustable elasticized cuffs with a velcro tab let you dial the fit around different boot volumes so powder stays out.
Is the waist adjustable, and is the fly easy to use with gloves on?
