Freeriding Snowboards
Where does a freeride board shine? On bigger, steeper, more open terrain: bowls, chutes, trees and deep or variable snow, ridden with speed and some commitment. Most are directional, with a longer nose, a stance set back a little and a stiffer flex that stays steady when the snow gets rough and things get fast. Camber, or a camber-led hybrid, is common, and boards often run a bit longer than their freestyle cousins. They’re less forgiving than a softer board, which is exactly what you want at speed.
