Mens Blaster Aw Fase Snowboard Bindings - Black 2027 FAQ
What does binding flex change on snow?
The Blaster AW FASE comes in two flex profiles: soft (3/10 for women) or medium (6/10 for men). On the Blaster, the medium flex gives you enough pop for carving and pressing without locking you into aggressive riding, while the women's softer option forgives approximations in park terrain. Both versions adapt across park, resort, and light powder without sacrificing board feel.
What is the highback for?
The new articulating highback rotates 45 degrees independently. On the Blaster AW FASE, this tells your heel edge to bite without forcing your calf into an unnatural angle. The flex in the cuff absorbs shock on landings while maintaining crisp heel-side response, so you get control whether you're carving hard or riding mellow through the resort.
What does forward lean actually do?
The Blaster's forward lean is fully adjustable, letting you angle the highback closer to your boot. On the Blaster AW FASE, dialing in your forward lean fine-tunes how aggressively the heel edge initiates turns: more lean equals quicker heel engagement; less lean equals relaxed cruising feel. Find your sweet spot on the first few runs.
What does canting do?
The Blaster AW FASE has a 2-degree canted footbed built into its footplate. On the Blaster, that inward angle mirrors your natural leg stance and cuts knee fatigue over a long day on the mountain. You're standing slightly more upright in the binding, so your knees and hips don't tire from fighting the geometry.
How do I pick the right binding size?
The Blaster AW FASE comes in S, M/L, and L/XL (men's) or S and M/L (women's). On the Blaster, your boot must sit snugly in the heel cup with minimal overhang; each size range covers multiple boot sizes, so always check Bataleon's boot-to-binding fit chart. A boot that's too far back or forward changes your effective leverage and throws off the whole setup.
