| Shape | 3D Twin: symmetrical nose and tail, centered inserts for true switch riding |
| Flex | 1 / 10: ultra-soft flex tuned for young riders learning to control speed and initiate turns |

Minishred - Kids Snowboard 2027 FAQ
Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?
It's built for young riders, beginner to intermediate. You get the full Bataleon experience scaled down: a 3D Twin shape for versatility, positive camber for pop and control, wrapped in an ultra-soft flex to keep it forgiving while your kid builds technique.
Should I get a twin or a directional board?
This is a 3D Twin with symmetrical nose and tail, both uplifted equally. That means your kid can ride switch (backwards) as easily as forward, learning in both directions and progressing without needing a second board.
How stiff should my board be, and what does flex actually change on snow?
It's a 1/10 flex, ultra-soft. It bends easily underfoot, so your kid doesn't need much weight or strength to press it. More forgiving when they catch an edge or fall, and plenty of fun for learning tricks and jumps in the park.
What makes a base fast — extruded vs. sintered?
The base is sintered (HyperGlide S). Sintered bases are faster and hold wax better than extruded, so the board glides quicker and stays faster longer between wax applications, giving your kid more miles of fun on the mountain.
What do the fiberglass layers actually change?
It uses a two-way weave of fiberglass that's light and strong. That keeps the board snappy and playful without making it twist-stiff, so your kid can bend it and bounce off landings, but still have enough integrity to handle all-mountain riding.
