Product Details
| Rocker Type | CamRock: rocker at the nose and tail for smooth turn entry, natural float, and forgiving catch-free feel; camber between the bindings for grip, energy, and pop underfoot. The all-mountain signature profile from Jones. |
| Flex | 3 / 5 (Happy medium: balanced stiffness for versatility between park and mountain) |
| Shape | Directional Twin (equal tip and tail width, zero taper, directional geometry for versatile riding in both directions) |
| Core | Master Core: dual-density Paulownia + Poplar in a 1:1 ratio. Lightweight, poppy, and durable, optimized for all-mountain response. |
| Stringer | Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer: a carbon and flax composite stringer developed with Swiss engineer Bcomp. Carbon provides pop and snap; flax fibers absorb vibration and reduce CO2 output versus an all-carbon stringer. |
| Laminates | Biax Fiberglass: dual-layer biaxial fiberglass laminate offering a mid-soft torsional flex that is forgiving and quick to engage, ideal for versatile all-mountain riding. |
| Base | Sintered 8000 Base: ultra-fast sintered base with high wax absorption for long-lasting glide and easy repair. |
| 3D Contour | Medium 3D Contour Base: inspired by surfboard hull geometry, a 4 mm spoon bevel at the nose and 0–4 mm at the tail progressively reduces friction at the contact points for a smooth, surfy feel. |
| Shape Tech | High Traction Tech: serrations along the running length that add multiple edge-contact points, improving grip on hard snow and compensating for the reduced edge contact inherent to a rocker tip and tail. |
| Topsheet | Premium Topsheet: durable, scratch-resistant premium topsheet designed for heavy use. |
| Sidewalls | Recycled ABS: 100% recycled ABS sidewalls with a rounded finish that reduces chipping and edge damage. Jones has used recycled ABS sidewalls since its founding. |
| Edges | Recycled Edges: steel edges sourced from recycled German steel. Maximum robustness and durability. On all Jones boards since 2010. |
| Inserts | Freeride/Freestyle Pack: insert set that lets you center or set back your stance depending on conditions. |
Twin Sister Womens Snowboard 2027 FAQ
Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?
The Twin Sister is built for women who want one board that does everything. It's designed for intermediate riders and works for anyone from solid intermediate to advanced who rides varied terrain across the whole mountain. On this board, you get enough forgiveness for learning new tricks, enough stability for carving groomers, and enough float and maneuverability for powder days.
Should I get a twin or a directional board?
This one is a directional twin, meaning both ends look the same but the nose is slightly longer and the back foot is the working end. On the Twin Sister, that setup gives you the easy switch riding of a true twin without sacrificing the power and responsiveness of a directional for riding down the mountain. You get playfulness without losing control at speed.
What's the difference between camber and rocker, and what's CamRock?
Camber is an arc underfoot that springs back when you weight it, giving you pop and edge grip. Rocker curves up at the tip and tail like a rocking chair. On the Twin Sister's CamRock profile, you get camber between your bindings for snap and control, plus rocker at both ends for forgiveness, easier turning, and better float in powder. It's the balance: grip without chatter.
How stiff is this board, and what does that mean for my riding?
The Twin Sister has a medium flex rating, happy medium between soft and stiff. On the slopes, that means it's forgiving enough to handle edge mistakes without punishing you, responsive enough to hold a carve, and lively enough for spins and tricks. It doesn't require rail-sharp technique to feel stable, so intermediate riders stay comfortable while pushing their skills.
Is this board good for powder?
Yes, the Twin Sister excels in powder with its directional twin shape, wide tip and tail, and medium 3D contour base. On a deep day, the rocker at the nose and tapered shape keep you floating on top rather than diving, so you spend more time shredding and less time digging out. It's rated 8/10 for powder, making it reliable in fresh snow and variable conditions.
