Product Description
Built for riders who won't choose between the deep stuff and the entire mountain, the Prodigy 4 takes the Prodigy formula and stretches it wider for maximum float in bottomless powder. Its lightweight poplar core keeps the ski lively and responsive while a carbon/rubber underfoot reinforcement protects against impacts and smooths out vibrations. With its directional twin shape and elliptical sidecut, it pivots effortlessly through tight trees and carves confidently when the skies clear.

Prodigy 4 Skis 2027 FAQ
I mostly ski pow and off-piste — is the Prodigy 4 the right choice, or is it too wide for groomers too?
The Prodigy 4 is built first for powder and deep snow, with a 116 mm waist and a large tip rocker (430 to 460 mm depending on size) that delivers genuine float in soft conditions. On groomed snow it will feel loose and surfy rather than precise. If you spend 80% of your days chasing pow and enjoy playful off-piste skiing, it is the right call. If you need to carve hard on groomers regularly, the Prodigy 3 (106 mm) is a better balance.
Can I ride this switch, or is it too directional?
The Prodigy 4 is a Directional Twin: the tip is wider (140 mm) than the tail (132 mm), so it performs best pointed forward. The twin tip at the rear allows for switch riding and freestyle moves, and the Elliptical Sidecut makes it playful in butter and smear situations. It handles switch riding for tricks but is not built for symmetrical park use.
What does the Carbon/Rubber Stomp Pad actually do for powder skiing?
The Carbon/Rubber Stomp Pad sits underfoot, above the edge — 600 mm long and 15 mm wide. In deep snow, it protects the poplar core when you stomp big landings off pillows or cliffs. The rubber component also damps vibration under the boots on choppy, variable off-piste snow, which adds comfort and control on longer powder runs.
What sizes does the Prodigy 4 come in, and which one should I get?
The Prodigy 4 comes in 179 cm (2050 g/ski), 185 cm (2200 g/ski), and 191 cm (2280 g/ski). Powder skis generally ride longer to maximize float — sizing to nose or forehead height is a common reference. Heavier and taller riders can go up to the 191 cm; lighter riders or those who prioritize playfulness should start at the 179 cm or 185 cm.
Do bindings come included?
No, the Prodigy 4 ships as a flat ski. Bindings are sold separately and mounted by your shop. The drill pattern is 4.1 x 9 mm, standard for adult alpine bindings. For powder and freeride use, look for a binding with enough release value for your weight and boot sole length.
