Product Description

The Mind Expander 2.0 enters a new era with a full redesign built around surf-inspired float and all-terrain flow. A directional camber-rocker profile locks in responsive grip underfoot while the High 3D Contour Base and 3D Flip Tip lift the nose out of powder with ease. Lightweight, poppy, and forgiving, it is the freerider's go-anywhere board — equally at home on a mellow groomer or a chest-deep powder field. For creative riders who want to explore without limits.

Product Details

Shape Tech 3D Flip Tip (Dual-Radius Flip Tip): dual-radius tip curvature that improves float in deep snow and reduces the plow effect of the nose
Base Sintered 8000 Base: premium sintered base, ultra-fast and highly wax-absorbent, easy to repair; used across the majority of Jones adult models

Mind Expander 2.0 Snowboard 2027 FAQ

Who is this board for, and what level do I need to be?

The Mind Expander 2.0 is designed for beginner-friendly to intermediate riders who want to explore all-mountain terrain and deep snow. On this board, a 3 out of 5 flex and directional shape make it forgiving at slower speeds while still responsive enough as you build confidence and push harder.

Is this board good for powder?

It shines in fresh snow. The nose lifts up with a 7mm spoon bevel and rocker at the tip, while the tapered shape gives it a setback feel. On the Mind Expander 2.0, these features keep you floating on top instead of diving, so you stay centered and let your legs breathe on deep days.

What makes a base fast, and what does that mean for me?

The base is sintered, not extruded, meaning it's porous and soaks up wax deeper. On this board, you get more glide, especially on cold and icy snow, and the base holds tuning longer before you need to rewax.

How stiff should my board be, and what does flex actually change on snow?

A 3 out of 5 flex is a happy medium, neither too soft nor too stiff. On the Mind Expander 2.0, that balance lets you turn easily at mellow speeds without feeling sluggish, and it forgives rider error without being floppy at pace.

What does the sidecut radius change for my turns?

This board uses a dual-radius flip tip design with two sidecut radii per size (e.g., 6.6m and 6.0m on the 142). On the Mind Expander 2.0, this means the nose turns tighter while the tail holds a wider arc, making quick direction changes easy up front and letting you hold bigger lines in the back.
