Product Details
| Rocker Type | Directional Camber / Rocker: camber underfoot for grip and powerful response, with rocker at the nose for smooth turn initiation, powder float and maneuverability |
| Flex | 3 / 5 (Medium) |
| Shape | Directional, Medium Tapered |
| Sidecut | Progressive Sidecut: radius increases progressively toward contact points for smoother turn initiation and exit, with a short sidecut for nimble slashing; per-size radius listed in the Size Table |
| Core | Ultra Split Core: ultralight dual-density wood core primarily Paulownia with pockets of Poplar, delivering standard-setting durability, pop and response in a splitboard-optimized construction |
| Laminates | Biax Fiberglass: biaxial fiberglass laminate, dual-layer dual-directional construction for a forgiving yet snappy feel with mid-soft torsional flex and quick energy transfer · Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer: developed with Swiss engineering firm Bcomp, combining carbon for pop with flax to absorb chatter and reduce CO₂ vs a full carbon stringer |
| Sidewalls | Recycled ABS: 100% recycled ABS with rounded finish to reduce chipping |
| Base | Sintered 8000 Base: premium sintered material, ultra fast, highly wax absorbent and easy to repair · Flip-Flop Base: produced in two base colorways to minimize P-Tex waste; color does not vary by size |

Stratos Womens Splitboard 2027 FAQ
Is the Women's Stratos Split a simplified version of the men's, or is it a real performance board?
The Women's Stratos Split uses the same core construction as the men's version: Ultra Split Core, Biax Fiberglass, Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer, High 3D Contour Base, Quick Tension Tail, and Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0. The size range (146 to 152 cm) and women's boot sizing are tailored to a smaller frame. The riding character is the same board, not a simplified version.
Is the medium flex appropriate for technical backcountry terrain?
Medium flex (3/5) gives the Women's Stratos Split a versatile feel: forgiving on variable and chopped-up backcountry snow while responsive enough for dynamic freeriding. It is a strong choice for splitboarders who mix open bowls, tree runs, and moderate couloirs. For highly technical, committing steep terrain, the stiffer Women's Solution at 4/5 would be a better match.
How does skin management work on this board?
Each size comes with a pre-cut skin (code A for all three sizes, trim S or M depending on length). The skins are shaped to the board and require no trimming. The Quick Tension Tail built into the board replaces the traditional metal tail clip with a notch in the board's tail that holds the skin under tension without hardware to lose or break in the field.
What clip system does the Women's Stratos Split use?
The Women's Stratos Split uses Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0, lighter and with a tighter clamp and smaller footprint than the original 1.0. Any splitboard-specific binding compatible with Karakoram pucks mounts for ride mode. Karakoram is the most widely used clip system in splitboarding; most major splitboard binding brands offer compatible interfaces as standard.
Will this board float well in powder with only 10 mm of taper?
The 10 mm taper combined with the High 3D Contour Base (7 mm spoon nose bevel) and Dir. Camber / Rocker profile gives the Women's Stratos Split solid powder float for an all-terrain medium-flex board. It is not a dedicated powder machine like the Hovercraft 2.0, but it performs well in fresh snow for a board that also excels on varied backcountry terrain throughout the day.
Are there Wide sizes for women with larger boot sizes?
The Women's Stratos Split has no Big Horn Wide sizes. All three sizes (146, 149, 152 cm) have waist widths from 23.9 to 24.4 cm, designed for women's US boot 6 through 10. If you need a wider waist, a smaller length in the men's Stratos Split may be worth exploring as an alternative option.
